Well I've upgraded to a later version of Drupal and this version conveniently has a nice third party module to support OpenID. That's good because the provider I used originally seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Now I can use my website as my OpenID and have the whole thing handled by VeriSign. Yea!

The issues that enterprises were unhappy about seem to have evaporated in this new version of the phone.
