User Centered Design
The real expense of information systems is in training and productivity. That is why we concentrate our design on the end user. When ease of learning and ease of use are built-in then long term expenses are kept low. This doesn't mean we'll forget about data centered design and structure. But that structure is of little help unless it is exposed to you and your users in meaningful ways.
You may think that touting ease of use is old news now that most modern operating systems feature a graphic user interface. But we believe that ease of use comes from good design - not lots of little widgets. Simply having menus, buttons, and forms aren't enough. The user's workflow and objectives need to be reflected in the software's design.

Object Methodology
Object oriented methodology keeps the design understandable while it is being developed. It hides the details of low level design from high level considerations. It doesn't matter if the implementation languages are object oriented. Good design is about proper boundaries. Designing with objects helps decide where the responsibilties lie.
Forgotten software has decadess of experience in object methodology. It's one thing we haven't forgotten anything about.
